Cisco hubs and bridges are a series of high-performance Fast Ethernet repeaters
delivers unmatched flexibility and low-cost managed connectivity to the desktop.
The Cisco hubs and bridges series provides ultra low-cost 10/100 autosensing
desktop connectivity where dedicated bandwidth is not required. Cisco hubs and
bridges product line also provides powerful and cost-effective, managed 10/100
connectivity. The combination of 10/100 autosensing performance on all ports
and internal bridging between 10Mbps and 100Mbps connections eases deployment
in mixed 10 and 100BaseT environments and allows for seamless migration from
10BaseT to 100BaseT technology.
The 10BaseT/100BaseTX switched uplink module on Cisco hubs and routers has
a switched 10/100 autosensing port. By default, the port autonegotiates the
transmission speed and duplex mode. You can set the port to 10 or 100 Mbps and
to half- or full-duplex mode. Cisco hub and bridge switch module has LEDs (STAT,
DUP, and 100) that reflect the status, duplex mode, and speed of the module
port.
